The 2012 UEFA European Football Championship , commonly referred to as Euro 2012, is the 14th UEFA European Football Championship , a quadrennial football tournament for European nations. The tournament, which is being hosted by Poland and Ukraine, began in June 2012 and is scheduled to conclude with the final at Olimpic Stadium in Kiev. It is the third successful joint bid in the competition's history.

Sixteen teams are participating in the tournament. Poland and Ukraine automatically qualified as hosts; the remaining 14 teams were determined through qualifying matches, which began in August 2010.
